It’s no secret that I love trying out Kylie’s Cosmetics latest innovations. Despite not always having good luck with her products, I find testing them fun. Kylie recently launched some new highlighters, blushes, and bronzers. Since I’ve already tested her highlighters, I decided to try out her blushed and bronzers, for whatever reason I’ve been really into blushes lately. I picked up the blush in the shade “Kitten Baby” and her bronzer in the shade “Khaki.”
I usually love Kylie’s minimalist packaging, and this was no exception. I love the pink packaging with Kylie’s name on it. It’s very simple and beautiful. However, the blush and bronzer are packaged exactly the same, and if I threw them in my drawer ( I keep blush and bronzer in the same one), I would be unable to identify them individually. I wish one would list, bronzer or blush on the front instead of having to turn it over on the back.
The blush I purchased is a stunning peach shade, called Kitten Baby. The formula is pigmented and buildable. However, the formula is very powdery and has quite a bit of kickback. This wouldn’t deter me from trying her other shades, but it was a bit annoying. Overall, it lasted pretty well throughout the day. I liked the blush, but I am not sure I would purchase it again. I prefer Tarte’s Blush formula over this one.
I was more excited about bronzer because the Kardashian/Jenner clan knows how to contour better than anyone. I purchased the shade, Khaki. I saw that Kylie launched warm tones and cool tone bronzers, which got me super excited but her fairest bronzer is a neutral undertone, and it’s the one I ended up getting. The product is not very pigmented, and I was very disappointed. It applied well and lasted all day, but it took a while to build up the coverage. I do not recommend this product.
