While I was Generation Beauty, I entered quite a few giveaways! A lot of times when you are attending beauty cons, they ask you to post an image on social media in exchange for bonus products. Sometimes once you post the photo and use the correct hashtags, you are entered to win a giveaway. Brands go through the hashtags and handpick a winner or sometimes, they use a generator to choose their winners. I was selected as a winner for Pop Cosmetics booth this year from the photo below:
Pop Beauty is a brand that I am aware of, but I haven’t really tried any of their products other than their eyeliners. I’ll be honest, since I was posting so much during Generation Beauty, I forgot what prize this was that I won. So when I opened it for the first time, I was completely shocked and excited!
When I opened up the beautifully wrapped package, I learned that I had won their entire permanent pout x influencer collection! The prize came with 6 different shades and each influencer created and designed two shades. It was a collaboration of Pop beauty with Aimee De La Torre, Victor Ramos, and Megs Cahill.
The packaging for this brand is super fun and colorful. I like how it’s only 3 colors per product. When I opened up the lip products, they are shiny and silver. I love how they look so luxe, but the reality is the products cost $8 each. They look heavy, but they are super light!
I was excited to a majority of this collection was different kinds of nudes because they are my favorite, but this collection also has a few bright shades, which I didn’t mind. I feel like they did a great job including a color for everyone in this collection. When it comes to the actual products, I love the shade range and found it super flattering on my skin tone. However, it did not survive my lunch, and I had to reapply, which was a bit disappointing. This formula is a bit drying but that typical of liquid lipsticks formulas. When I applied a darker shade, I found the lipstick somewhat streaky which I was disappointed about it. So I recommend investing in the lighter shades versus, the darker ones.
Here’s what they all looked like swatched:
Overall, For the price and quality, I might pick up this product again in a lighter shade. It worked well, but it was nothing special to me.
