Sorry to interrupt #Teamas but I have some exciting NYC content to share with you. We all know that I love tea but one of the few things I love more than tea is New York City. This past weekend, I was invited by A Slice of Brooklyn to join their Dyker Heights Christmas Lights Tour! This post is sponsored by A Slice of Brooklyn but all opinions are my own. I was soooo excited for the opportunity, so I had to interrupt Teamas to share my experience with you. I also know a ton of you are planning on spending the holiday season in New York City, so I wanted to share this with you before the tours are all sold out! This tour is lit (quite literally). Get excited to see how I met some new friends and more…
I know you guys are going to ask, Yes I’m Jewish but that doesn’t mean I can’t appreciate Christmas lights. In fact, I love the holiday season and seeing Christmas lights is one of my favorite seasonal activities. I brought along my friend Noel and we had a lot of fun on the tour! So…are you ready for it?
First off, it was opening night of tour! How freaking cool is that? My tour guide was named Bruce and he was wealth of information all about the Dyker Heights area of Brooklyn. We stopped in another location or two as well but the highlight was Dyker Heights. The people of Dyker Heights are a whole new level of EXTRA when it comes to the holiday season and I was living for it! It was all started by a woman named Lucy in 80’s who still lives in the area. In fact, below is a photo of her house.
Here is a sneak peek at what the best holiday lights displays look like in NYC. I promise there is a lot more than these few houses, so be sure to check out this tour this holiday season for the full experience!
Spoiler: This tour is lit.
