This week seemed to be longer then normal. I am not sure why but it lasted a long time but flew by at the same time. I am not really sure how to explain it. This weekend I am seeing a friend from my college and I cannot wait until she gets here! It’s been too long since I’ve had a social interaction with someone who I don’t intern with! haha.
We are going to see One Republic and The Script tomorrow night and I cannot wait! So our food box for this week is pretty great! I hope it does not get ruined like last weeks! Last week the box froze in the fridge! It was very sad. Hopefully that will not happen this week! So without further ado, here we go!
Only my favorite vegetable in the entire world! These will be eaten raw and not cooked! Sorry not sorry!
Another favorite of mine! What can’t I use them in? I am probably going to eat them raw. I will probably end up making blueberry tea bread! Doesn’t that sound yummy?
The most hated veggie. I personally am not a broccoli fan, I’m sorry to disappoint. I was unable to make my fried rice last week, so I will probably end up using this for that. My mother loves broccoli, so she might make her own pizza with it. She might just steam it as well.
A popular root veggie. I might end up roasting this or searching for a healthy red velvet recipe using beet juice. I also know a family who just turned beets into a dip for chips and etc. , it might be a good idea.
This is new to me, I have never had escarole before but I know chefs love it. I’m hoping I will discover why. I am planning on turning into a Bean and Escarole Soup, the recipe is here, thanks google and Giada! <3 It’s a simple dish and it quick to make! What’s not to love?
I am not too fond of this either. I think I am going to give it to my grandmother . I would use it in a salad? I am sorry these are so short! I want to get this done before my guest arrives!
This week we had pea pesto, it was quite good but this week we are going to do something different. I am actually going to use them in a fried rice this week. I love how photogenic these cuties are!
Pink Himalayan Sea Salt
For some bizarre reason, I find salts so interesting. I am not sure why or how but I reel like them. This pink sea salt, I have been eyeing for a while and I thought about buying it in Chelsea Market but luckily, I didn’t have too! I am going to use it on my popcorn and my pasta!
That’s this week’s haul! xx
