Today my mother and I headed to Dreyer Farm accompanied by my grandmother to collect our first produce basket. We will be sharing it with my grandmother and I am so excited about that! We go in the farm stand and find ourselves in line behind a few other families and I see these massive baskets that look something like this. These boxes are massive and I thought one of these could not possibly be mine. My family had ordered the smallest size and this just had to be a larger box. Boy, was I wrong.
Turns out this is what a SMALL is. It certainly is not small! I am not complaining but I just was not expecting it to be that large.
It was completely full too, as you can see in the below photograph.
I could not help but stare at how gorgeous it was! I mean look at this! I was expecting only a few fruits and veggies.
Under this mass was more and more veggies and pizza dough! I forgot to take a photo of that (sorry guys, I was overwhelmed).
My produce kit came with a binder, which had recipes for all of these items, a guide on how to care for the produce and a little newsletter. It was adorable.
Inside this week’s haul was:
- Swiss Chard
- Pizza Dough
- Freshly- made pasta
- English Muffin Bread
Isn’t that crazy, for the “small” box, I got all of these things. Yes, I had to pay a little extra for the pasta and bread but it was so worth it. Here are some pictures I took of the produce.
So I was pretty pleased with the amount of produce that I received. Some of it may not be pictured. I picked a few of my favorite photos to post, trust me there were plenty more! My mother and grandmother were annoyed that I was taking so many photos.
