Wow, what a month it’s been! Today is the last post in my series working with Impeach Tea. I am so grateful for the opportunity to work with all these super cool brands. So, I just really wanted to thank everyone for their support within the community. This post is sponsored by Impeach tea. The final tea we’re talking about today is their Pineapple Mango Caye.
I was extra excited to check out this tea because I’ve never tried a green rooibos before! The major difference between the green and classic red rooibos is that the the green is not oxidized, which lends itself to a slightly different flavor profile then the red. To translate, it basically dried differently. They opted to use green instead of the red because; ” When working with so many fresh, lively, fruity ingredients with this blend, we believe the green offered a more vibrant element overall.”
This tea is perfect for summertime or someone dreaming of summer. As soon as it’s steeped there is a sweet scent that comes from it. Since this is a green roobios tea, it’s a very light amber, which is perfect for the product. Pineapple is strongest flavor in this new and the mango isn’t really too apparent. I was tad disappointed that I was unable to really distinguish the mango in this product. However the tea was still pretty tasty. I feel as if this would make for an excellent dessert tea! Overall, this is a tea I would definitely try iced. It would be perfect for a summertime BBQ.
