Today is the first day that I’m brining back my tea posts! Yay! Happy fall everyone. I’m excited to announce that for next few weeks, I will be working with Impeach Tea. This post is sponsored but all opinions are my own. Impeach Tea were kind enough to send over their entire range of teas and I cannot wait to share my thoughts on all of them with you. This tea has joined me for quite a few adventures, so I’m extra excited to share this series with you. The American Dream blend joined me for my first ever comic con in Chicago.
I am super excited to be working with Impeach Tea because I think it’s a great company with great morals. So throughout this series, I will be sharing bits and pieces about this up and coming company as well as some reviews. The first bit, I’m sharing is how this company came up with the name, Impeach Tea. Their founder was happy to explain to me the naming process, “First, some of the big things we believe in are freedom and the right to express yourself. The name Impeach implies the ultimate freedom, the mechanism to effect change at the highest level in the US. This also means that the freedom to effect such change begins with the voice of the people. ” How beautifully said is that?
I love the packaging on these. I’ve never seen anything quite like this before. I found that the packaging is a bit busier then I prefer but it suits the brand perfectly. I love the detailing of the tea leaves instead of traditional stars that we see on the American flag. I found that my container popped open a bit easier then I would have liked it too but nothing fell out. I also really love their logo choice as well as their font. Overall, I felt like the packaging was perfect for the product, I just wish the lid to the canister was a little less sensitive.
The American Dream has a light amber to it, which was a pleasant surprise seeing as it’s a black tea. The flavor is a light, soft and sweet. I feel like this would work super well as a dessert tea or as an early morning tea. The flavor actually reminds me a lot of a scone and clotted cream, which gives the flavor a unique sense of warmth . Since this tea is so smooth, there is no need for sweetener. Overall this tea is two thumbs up.
