I’m going to be a bit of basic blogger and tell you some of my favorite products that launched this year. I always love to read these kind of posts or watch them on YouTube. Fleur De Force is my favorite to watch for this style video! This is going to be a wee series, so watch out for the next post tomorrow, this one is going to focus on my actual face products.
The Smashbox Primerizer is the first product on my list. I’m not sure about the launch date of this but I remember hearing Laura Lee rave about it during the summertime, so I tried it out in store and I loved it. It combines moisturizer and primer, so if you are looking to shorten your makeup routine, this product is perfect for you.
Fenty Beauty foundation which shouldn’t come as a surprise to you. I did a review on it a long time ago and since then I use this foundation on a daily basis. It blends out extremely well and has medium to full coverage. There’s a huge range of colors and undertones. My shade is 150 which is a fair neutral.
My favorite concealer is a totally basic answer but I discovered it in 2017. It’s the Tarte Shape Tape, which was total game changer for me. My current shade is a bit light for me but it’s great. It has some good coverage and blends out well.
As someone who hates yellow, my next favorite is probably a shocker to you and that is the I Want Kandee Banana Pudding Powder. This is designed to set your undereyes and it does a great job of that but it also is great to set your face with. I use it almost everyday.
The other setting powder that has been incredible is the Too Faced Ethereal Born This Way Powder. This is great for baking your undereye and setting lipstick and really anything.
Moving onto setting spray, another basic beauty blogger answer and that is Mac fix +. If you haven’t tried this, do it. My makeup has lasted hours and hours from this product. This is also what I use to foil my products.
My favorite blush of this year has to be the Milani Rose Blush in Tea Rose. I prefer matte blushes and this gives me the perfect natural-looking flush. Special mention to Tarte’s Amazonian Clay Blushes, they are also excellent.
Instead of one bronzer, I want to mention a kit. The Tarte Park Ave Princess Chisel Palette is a new favorite of mine. I’ve been a fan of their regular Park Ave Princess bronzer, so when I heard they came out with this I bought it ASAP and it’s great. It has some warm tones and cool toned shades. So there’s a shade for every undertone.
I love my highlighters and this year my favorite is the Wet n’ Wild Unicorn collections highlights. I was super excited when I purchased these at Beautycon and I always reach for them. I often reach for my pink one, which is why it’s broken and I attempted repaired it . Hence why it’s so ugly lol.
What’s your go-to foundation?
