Winter is obviously the perfect time of year for a cup of tea, but what if I told you I tried some blends that are legit designed to warm up your cold dead heart ( or am I only one with a cold, dead heart?). I am so excited to work with Plum Deluxe again and share with you my thoughts on their holiday blends. They were kind enough to send me these samples free of charge for testing purposes, however all opinions are my own. I love the packaging for Plum Deluxe it’s simple and to the point and gives you ingredients and it’s brewing time.
The soul-warmer blend has a light to medium amber. It’s a rooibos tea, which means it’s caffeine-free! The flavor profile is sweet and has a hint of nuttiness, which is a pleasant surprise. There is a touch a chocolate which really rounds out the blend. Overall, I can totally say that this did warm my soul.
Confession: This was my first ever time trying chai tea! There’s no reason why I haven’t tried it before. The tea was a really dark amber, which surprised me. This blend is spicy like a chai should be, but I was unable to pick out individual spice except the cardamom. Even though this is spicy, it has a unique lightness to it. It tasted just like how it smells if that makes sense. Overall, Chai isn’t for me, but my mom loved it!
First off, this was so cool because its rooibos as well as a black tea, which is combination I don’t often see. It’s amber was super light and it looked almost like a green tea. This tea is super sweet, so if you are looking for a festive dessert tea, this is a great option. There is a strong berry flavor in this which reminds me of a fruit roll-up. I think this is the perfect post Christmas dinner tea! Overall, I loved it so much!
