Throughout my life, I’ve been told I look like a vampire. So, I learned to embrace my other worldly features (Skin as white as snow and hair as dark as the midnight sky). Self-love is a great thing and I’m so grateful to finally love the skin I’m in; but it isn’t always easy being a pale gal, which brings us to today’s topic: pale girl friendly beauty products!
Today’s post is my first collaboration with the fabulous Pale Girl Rambling. Through hours upon hours of research and swatching countless shades, we’ve found a collection a products that are super pale girl friendly and today we’re each sharing our top 10 picks! To check out her favorites, check out this post! So let’s get right into it.
Foundation is the most fundamental part of my makeup routine, because I have so much redness. Due to my redness, I always use a full-coverage foundation. I’ve tried countless brands but I always find myself going back to Tarte’s Amazonian Clay Foundation as well as the Amazonian Clay Foundation Stick in fair beige. If they do not have a pale enough shade, another great alternative is Anna Sui’s foundation or their full coverage BB cream.
I swear this post isn’t just about my favorite Tarte products. *nervous laughter* My go-to concealer is the famous Tarte Shape Tape, for this product I also wear fair beige. I’ve tried dozens upon dozens of concealers and this is the only one I’ve come back too. However, I do really like the Too Faced Born This Way Concealer in fair. It’s not a favorite but it’s a good alternative to shape tape.
This is NOT a Tarte product, this is actually a Bare Minerals product. It’s called their barePRO performance Wear Pressed Powder Foundation which I have in the shade Champagne. This is the first pressed powder that I’ve actually repurchased. I was down to the pan! I use this set my makeup. I love to put it on my oily spots because it mattifies my skin. It’s gives my skin a nice matte finish and does not look cakey.
If pressed powder isn’t your thing, here’s a loose powder option. This is Ulta’s Mineral Setting Powder. It’s super affordable and it works! This powder works super well for when you are “baking”. It also has that banana vibe to it making it a great face powder.
Who doesn’t love a good contour kit?! As you guys can see I’m down to the pan on this kit. This kit is the a Covergirl TruBlend Palette in light and it’s my go-to contour product. For a total breakdown of the product, check out my full review. Overall, the cool ashy tones in the contour kit really suit my pale skin. I’m someone who much prefers cool tones for facial products.
I actually have 3 options here because each blush gives you totally different vibe! Time to break it down.
is a recent discovery for me. It’s a matte blush that gives you more of a peachy finish. When applied, it’s super flattering and doesn’t look like too much. It does a great job of warming the face, which is why I love it so much. Dandelion Box o’ Powder Blush
This my ride or die matte blush the Milani Rose Powder Blush in Tea Rose. For a full breakdown of this product, check out the full review here. This gives your cheeks the perfect punch of color without being too overwhelming. If you’re looking for the perfect matte blush, look no further! Plus the price tag is pretty nice as well.
The last is shimmery af and that’s their Papa Don’t Peach blushPapa Don’t Peach blush from Too Faced Sweet Peach’s collection. For the full breakdown of that collection, check out my collection review. This obviously gives you the most peachy vibe out all of them. It’s extremely shimmery and it’s easy to overapply. This acts as a multi-use product. Chances are when you have it on, you will not need a highlighter.
To be honest. I’m not a big bronzer person, so this happens to be the only bronzer I’ve used for quite some time. It’s the Too Faced Milk Chocolate Soleil Bronzer. I’ve tried some dupes for this, but I just love this formula. It really helps give you a subtle, natural-looking glow.
What are some of your go-to products?
