I went to BeautyCon again this year and this time I opted for a different package, which allows me to hang out with creators and it was magical seeing all the Influencers I love in real life. This week has been crazy too. I actually met Patrick Starrr this week at work and guys he was chill af. He also really took the time to chat with me about life and beauty. It was really nice because since it wasn’t a meet up, I really got the opportunity to talk to him. Not just a selfie and bye, it was real conversation which is something you really don’t get to experience at beauty cons. I also got to be in his Snapchat which is like one of my life goals.
Let’s talk about snapchats for a second, guys I actually had the opportunity to take over Seventeen’s snapchat and I nearly died. It was so much fun! Another life goal accomplished.
Back to Beautycon. I am not insulting meet ups because I honestly think they are a great opportunity to meet your favorite creators, but it’s hard to really chat with them because the experience is rushed. The package I opted for was called the “social package”, which allowed me access to meet ups as well as VIP opportunities which include free candy and a swag bag and tbh that’s all I need. FREE FOOD AND MAKEUP UP #YESPLEASE.
So I wanted to share with you some of my highlights of Beauty Con. I went to a meet up for Mia and Alisha. Guys, everyone is so much prettier in real life. It was my second time meeting Mia and she actually remembered me! I was shocked. They were both so nice and charming irl, but they were taller then I expected.
Meeting Niki and Gabi was my favorite because they were so genuine and Gabi actually recognized me from Twitter, like guys I was shook. She was like wait I totally see your tweets. Both sisters assured me that they actually read all of their tweets. It was so cool. We started to talk about that and than we were chatting about Gabi’s new series “Blood Queens” and she was so excited. Remember how I said meet ups are great but rushed? Well, the manager for Niki and Gabi had to cut off our conversation because I was taking up too much of their time. That’s why the photos I took with them I look derpy AF. It’s because we were actually talking.
Overall, I think the social package was worth the money, however no matter what the lines were long. Throughout the day, I went over to NYX two or three times and each time I waited in the never-ending line for like a half-hour to an hour and never ended up getting in to their booth, same with Maybelline. I always love seeing what sorts of exciting booths, the brands set up and this year did not disappoint. The swag bag they gave us was lit AF. PSA: This is a photo of everything including the items I purchased and the freebies … crazy right?
I hope you guys are ready to see a lot more beauty content. Beauty Con gave me so much inspiration and I cannot wait to share with you everything! There is so much to test out and I cannot wait to get started!
