After gawking over the peach palette in May, I couldn’t wait for the relaunch of the entire Sweet Peach Collection! So as soon as it came out again, I grabbed the last palette out in Ulta and continued on my way. Soon enough the rest of the collection became available there and I picked it all up. Funny enough, I was wandering through the flagship Macy’s on 34th and 6th? I cam across the beauty section, I found myself in something called Impulse Beauty , which I had never heard of before. Apparently it just like Sephora but with only Cruelty-Free brands, which is amazing! So I asked them about the highlighting palette to swatch and the girl mentioned it wasn’t out because they only had one in stock. Guess who grabbed it!
Here is the entire collection, it includes: An eyeshadow palette, blush/blusher ( I like to call it a blusher because that sounds much cuter then blush or rouge), a highlighting palette and Peach Oil lip gloss ( I have the shade Peach-sicle).
I simply adore the packaging of Too Faced products, I find it extremely cute. I know plenty of people feel as if it kitchy but sometimes that works for certain products. I love the little details on these products, on the cap of the lip oil there is a tiny peach. I love the almost kawaii-style peach on all of the products, this also does translate to the actual products, which you will see later on. I also love how each product comes with a glamour kit, which shows you how to create looks with the products.
Sweet Peach Eye Shadow Palette
Sweet Peach Eye Shadow Palette is the first piece of the collection, so it makes the most sense to go over this first. The colors are a nice mixture of matte and shimmer. They are extremely flattering shades on my fair skin. They swatched well and the palette has good pigmentation. I do suggest using a primer underneath it. I would say it’s solid but some of the shades like (name here) do really need foiling ( if you are unfamiliar with this technique let me know, I’m happy to do a post all about it) to get the full effect. The colors in this palette mesh super well together and it’s so easy to mix and match every shade. Overall I found the colors lasted and worked super well with my hazel to brown eyes.
Papa Don’t Peach Blush(er)
This is the second product in the range that I purchased. Once again it smells of peaches. The color of this blush is absolutely lovely, however if you love your blush matte this is not the blush for you. It’s full of shimmer, which I personally love but I’ve met plenty of people who were not big fans on this product due to shimmer power alone. Due to the shimmer, I sometimes even use this blush as a highlighter. I do not suggest using a strong highlighter with this unless you want a Nikkie Tutorials style- glow. It has such a nice sheen to it and compliments my fair skin nicely. It would look lovely paired with a light bronzer. Overall, I really enjoy the formula of of this, it’s smooth and it’s not too heavy. I was just watching some of the videos Too Faced posted for this and I found out about their “XO” Blush technique and I am going to give it a try.
Currently to apply this product I am using an Angled Face Brush. This is one of my favorite brushes to use on my face, however I might start using a proper blush brush to apply this when trying out the technique mentioned above.
Peach Lip Oil in Peach-Sickle
I was not 100% what exactly a lip oil is versus a gloss but this felt more like a lip gloss then anything else. Out of every product in this collection, I was the most disappointed in this. The gloss is opaque but streaky. To get it to look good you need to keep on blending. Once it’s blended you sort of loose the color in it.
Sweet Peach Glow
This was the last piece of the collection that I purchased. It was so incredibly difficult to find and I’m sad to say that this wasn’t a favorite of mine. The pigmentation is extremely light and gentle. There is a bronzer, blush and a highlighter in this palette. The bronzer is great to warm up my face but it’s still very light. The blush did nothing for me in anyway shape or form, it was a huge disappointment but the other blush in this collection was so worth it. The highlight is very subtle whereas I prefer my highlighter a lot more pigmented. I would give this palette and okay, would I buy it again? No.
What beauty collection are you guys most excited about trying?
